What does my child need to bring to camp?

Please dress your child in their swim suit under their regular outfit. 

Backpack with:
Healthy lunch and snack- no candy, cookies, high sugared items
1-2 Water bottles

Monday-Thursday
Beach towel
Bucket & shovel
Optional: One additional small beach toy that can fit in their bucket. No other toys will be allowed.

Will you apply sunscreen to my child?

If you want our child to use sunscreen, please apply it at drop off. Ideally, your child will be able to reapply sunscreen to their own body (think sunscreen stick). I can support with their face. For younger students, I can help them after lunch time(12:30ish). Let me know if you need me to remind or support your child. Please use a non toxic brand, especially if you're asking me to apply it. Here is a list of EWG top rated sunscreen for kids. 

What does beach safety look like?

We are at the beach for about 45 minutes, unless your child is apart of the extended day. Around 1pm we will walk over to the bike path entrance of Toe's Beach. Our group sets up directly next to the main lifeguard tower. Children can only go into the water when accompanied by an adult. They must stay within a few feet of the adult, and the youngest holds the adults hands. We do not go in deep, and often stay by the shoreline. Most days, there will be a second adult (a parent) at the beach with us. If you would like to be a parent beach volunteer from 1-2 please let me know.

Where do I drop off & pick up?

Drop off is at the playground at 10am. Pick up at 2pm is at the beach so you can help your child shower off if needed. You will have to park and walk over to us by the lifeguard tower. Please ensure you arrive early enough to find parking and walk over. If you arrive after 2:10, you will be charged $10. Aftercare is available until 3pm for $20. Pick up for aftercare will be at the park.

What happens at aftercare?

Children will have about an additional 30 min at the beach. At 2:30 kids will rinse off at the beach showers. We will walk back to the park and have a snack. Any additional time will be free play.
